King Nag's Chit-Chat

He is known as one among the Three big pillars of the Tollywood circuit and hailing from a legendary family with the surname Akkineni, he has been an integral part of the cine world from the past few decades. He is none other than Nagarjuna who is known as 'Yuvasamrat' by many and dearly known as Nag by his fans, friends and admirers. Recently, he got to share few thoughts and here are few excerpts.

Approach to cinema
Nag has always been the glamour king and came out with the regular commercial potboilers that involved few scenes of mushy romance and then the regular thrashing of the bad guys added with a family sentiment. But now, he seems to have changed his track and he says that he is looking at a different path for his career in cinema. This is more on the matured side than the regular running around trees and girls.

Dance number with eight beauties
While the entire Telugu folk and those who have seen it are going green with envy when they watched the song 'nuvvu ready…' in the recent hit 'King', Nag seems to think otherwise. He says that dancing with eight beautiful actresses was really a tiresome act and adds that given the fact that he has underwent a knee surgery recently, things got even more exhaustive.

His favorite
While the entire women folk have been going ga ga over him, Nag seems to have been impressed by one starlet among the recent beauties. She is none other than the mesmerizing beauty Mamta Mohandas and Nag says that he is her fan with a smile. This is truly a magic potion for Mamta if she is reading this since getting a compliment like that from Nag is overwhelming. Are you reading this Mamta???

Sekhar Kammula Film
Responding to the query on his next venture with the brilliant Sekhar Kammula, Nag stated that the project has been called off. He said that after watching his magnitude and image in the film 'King', Kammula is said to have backed off but then he has given his word that he would come back with a suitable script for a film that can suit the image of Nag and his stature.

Acting break
With the strong grapevine that Nag has decided to hang up his boots, the handsome star confirmed that there are no such intentions for now and added that he is waiting for the right script. He also indicated that he would like to do a role like what Naseeruddin Shah did in the film 'A Wednesday' on a serious note but expressed surprise that though he has shown his humorous side in films like 'Hello brother' and 'Manmadhudu' none of the film makers are coming forward with such offers for him.

Nag Blog?
With more and more stars becoming net savvy and having their own blogs to interact with their fans and create a closer medium of communication, Nag chose to stand apart. He declared that he does not have the patience for blogging and chatting and quipped that even sending an SMS from his mobile is a tough job for him. So…there is no net revolution to our Yuva Samrat.

Competition
Nag says that stars like Mahesh Babu and NTR have become quite strong in their own domain and there is no element of competition between the stars since each of them does roles that suit their own image and age. However, he cautioned that things might go haywire if any one of them would want to intersect their set paths. But for now, the element of competition does not exist between them.

Future ventures:
There is an expansion plan he has for his studios and at the same time, he has also got an offer from a corporate production house for a package film deal. However, Nag says that he is willing to sign the dotted line provided the clauses and conditions are as per his wishes. So this is a clear signal that he is still in the fray for more projects and entertainment.

Politics
Nag has dropped curtains on all the buzz about his interest or inclination towards politics and made it clear that he is happy to be an actor.
